Pronunciamiento sobre migración venezolana y derechos humanos frente al COVID-19

Considering

That, since the beginning of the national health emergency declared due to the presence of COVID-19 in Ecuador, the plight of the Ecuadorian population in general and the population in the context of human mobility in particular has been irrefutably evident, reflecting the lack of economic resources for the impoverished sectors of society, especially for those sectors of multiple vulnerability.

That the policies and laws enacted by the Ecuadorian State to address the health and economic crisis are harming workers, further violating people’s rights, and especially the most vulnerable groups such as migrants, paid domestic workers, small producers, and informal merchants who were already working in exploitative and abusive conditions before the emergency.
